I’ve been around my wife for a year now and both of us didn’t get some time off each other. We used to be long distance for a long time so I’m having the opposite sentiments. I think because of my line of work, I’ll be able to spend a month away every 3-4 months and this for me strikes a balance for renewal and making sure we remain interested in each other, or so I’d like to think. I remember reading one philosopher say when their kids grown and left the house, he had to renew his marriage with his wife to take them into the ‘next’ phase of life. So I cant stay I ‘know the feeling’ but I know a ‘similar’ feeling..
